Rent Information

Rent is a rock musical that tells the story of a group of young and hungry artists living in New York City’s East Village, trying to become something special when AIDS was spreading all around them.

The music and lyrics were written by Jonathan Larson, and the story is based on the opera La boheme. This deep but entertaining musical was one of the first Broadway musicals to feature gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender characters, and has been honored with Tony Awards and a Pulitzer Prize.

Since 1996, Rent has been seen by thousands, and even more since being adapted into a full-length motion picture in 2005.

Whether it is your first time or twentieth time, you will love it just the same, the music and characters will leave a long time lasting impression.
