Ben Folds Information

Ben Folds Five is alternative rock group from Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Coming together in 1993, the trio consists of Ben Folds (lead vocals, piano, keyboards), Darren Jessee (drums, percussion, back up vocals), and Robert Sledge (bass, synthesizer, backing vocals). Their scenes have been mainly alternative, indie and pop but they are best known for their hit single "Brick" which helped them acieve mainstream success in 1997.

Ben Folds Five spent seven years together, releasing three studio records, then disbanded in 2000. The trio reunited for a one-off concert in 2008 and also recorded three tracks for Ben Folds' "The Best Imitation of Myself: A Retrospective." Ben Folds Five has just announced this past July that they will be coming back on tour Fall 2012. Kicking off September 17 in Nashville Tennessee, the band will make 7 more stops before wrapping up on October 13 at Boston's House of Blues.
